Job Description:

This contract position involves providing specialized support within a designated unit in Louisville. The role predominantly focuses on managing adolescent patients, ages 14 to 18, who present with conditions such as suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, ODD, bipolar disorder, and aggressive tendencies. The responsibilities include de-escalation and crisis intervention, utilizing skills like restraint and seclusion when necessary, while working closely with a team of mental health professionals, including mental health technicians, therapists, case managers, and security personnel. The environment requires quick thinking and compassion, with a shift structure of 12-hour days and a week that spans 36 hours. You will be assigned to a vibrant unit equipped with EMR tools like Cerner and Omnicell, and supported by a dedicated internal team. This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while efficiently balancing work and well-being.
