Job Description:

This travel RN position at Princeton Hospital offers the chance to work on the 4 West unit, specializing in Med Surg and Acute Care, including orthopedics, neuro, and general surgery. You'll be caring for post-operative patients and those with medical overflow, focusing on tasks like post-operative assessments, pain management, and wound and drain care. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, every other weekend, with a total weekly commitment of 36 hours. Experience within hospital settings and familiarity with EMR systems like EPIC are essential. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to experience Birmingham’s vibrant community while applying your clinical expertise in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The unit’s patient ratios are typically 5-6:1, and occasional float requirements will have you working across units within a 25-mile radius. You should be comfortable with equipment like Alaris and Omnicell and hold current BLS certification. A professional yet personable demeanor that adheres to the navy dress code will help you thrive in this role.
