Job Description:

This travel healthcare assignment involves working in the ER holding unit, focusing on patients with diverse medical conditions such as cardiac, neuro, ortho, and critical care needs. You will be part of a team that responds quickly to requests for respiratory therapy, including ABGs, breathing treatments, and use of vents, Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow equipment—RTs are available 24/7 but are not stationed in the ER. Your role will involve reading and documenting telemetry strips from Spacelabs monitors, which requires independent proficiency. The job requires a minimum of 2 years recent PCU experience or 1 year PCU plus over a year in TELE/ER/ICU, along with successful completion of at least one previous travel assignment. The work shifts are 12-hour nights, with a total of 36 hours per week over a 14-week duration. You will need to adhere to the strict 100-mile radius rule, providing a copy of your driver’s license upon submission. Department-specific orientation occurs during the first week of the contract to familiarize you with protocols and procedures.
