Job Description:

Join a community-focused hospital in Illinois as an Emergency Department nurse, where you'll provide vital emergency care to a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics. This role offers the unique opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment that handles everything from minor injuries to critical cases like MVA and MI. You'll coordinate with a dedicated team of providers, charge nurses, and techs, managing a typical patient load of 4-5 per nurse. The ED features a triage area, behavioral health safe rooms, and state-of-the-art imaging connected directly to the department. Expect to perform moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, blood draws, and manage critical care drips, all while being supported by RTs and monitor techs. This assignment is perfect for experienced ER nurses comfortable rotating shifts and step into a role that keeps you engaged and challenged every day.
