Job Description:

Join a dedicated ICU team in Freeport, Illinois, for a 13-week travel assignment where you'll be responsible for providing high-level critical care in an 8-bed ICU unit. This role involves managing patients with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, DKA, PNA, and alcohol withdrawal, often at night. You’ll run codes, titrate medications like Levo, Neo, Propofol, and Insulin, and collaborate closely with hospitalists. The shift is 12-hour nights, offering a consistent schedule that allows for a balanced work and life experience. Previous travel experience and Meditech proficiency are preferred—the unit appreciates nurses who are comfortable with complex medication mixing and bedside accountability. Be prepared to support varying patient acuity levels and work with a multidisciplinary team that includes CNAs, care support staff, and tele-monitoring systems.
