Job Description:

This travel assignment places you on a 48-bed unit specializing in Neurology and Neurosurgery, where you'll care for patients with conditions such as strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological issues. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you'll be responsible for managing a mixed acuity caseload, including up to five Med Surg patients, and performing tasks that require both technical skill and critical thinking. The unit operates with magnet ratios like 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with occasional night ratios up to 1:7. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, and some float within the scope to other units, including specialized areas like Neuro and Stepdown floors. Prior experience in large, urban hospitals with two years of relevant RN experience and EPIC charting proficiency are required. This role offers a lively but rewarding environment where you'll contribute to complex neurological patient care, sometimes including EEG monitoring. Please note this assignment is for experienced travelers only, and you'll need to wear Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs, with options for parking and a flexible schedule that includes working major holidays.
