Job Description:

Join our ICU nursing team in Peoria, IL, for a 13-week travel assignment working 12-hour night shifts. This role offers the opportunity to provide primary care to critically ill patients in a dedicated ICU unit with only 8 beds. You will care for ventilated, sedated, and post-surgical patients, managing complex treatments such as titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips like Precedex and Propofol. Your expertise in PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/midline management, and tracheostomy care will be essential. Expect a fast-paced environment where your skills help stabilize patients with respiratory failure, CVA, trauma, and cardiac conditions. The unit features Phillips telemetry monitors, available RT support 24/7, and a dedicated ICU team. As an RN in this role, you'll work alongside a hospitalist and intensivist, with tele-health support after hours. Nurses are expected to perform all bedside tasks and troubleshooting of ICU equipment, making this a highly autonomous and vital role for experienced critical care nurses.
