Job Description:

Join us as a registered nurse on a 12-hour night shift assignment at a busy acute care unit in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of medical diagnoses, including sepsis, CHF, COVID, and DVT, with patient ratios of approximately 5-6:1. You will be responsible for titrating heparin drips, reading telemetry strips monitored remotely, and performing basic inpatient procedures. The unit offers a mix of private and semi-private rooms, with an emphasis on efficiency and teamwork without the burden of additional call or stand-by requirements. You'll receive two shifts of orientation to get you acclimated to the fast-paced environment. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to refine clinical skills while experiencing the vibrant community surrounding Peoria.
