Job Description:

Join a high-acuity cardiology critical care unit at a renowned heart transplant center in New Orleans. As a CVICU RN, you'll be working in a specialized environment managing patients with complex diagnoses such as cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, and post-cardiac arrest cases. The role involves caring for patients requiring advanced procedures like pacemaker placements, pericardial drains, and targeted temperature management. This assignment offers the opportunity to use specialized equipment including PA catheters, Impella devices, and CRRT pumps. Expect to work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, with occasional options to pick up a fourth shift. The facility may assign you to an emergency response team, where staying on-site during critical events is part of the role. It’s a unique chance to deepen your expertise in cardiac critical care while experiencing vibrant New Orleans.
