Job Description:

Join our team at BronxCare in the adolescent psychiatric unit for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with 12-hour night shifts, providing care for patients experiencing severe mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and trauma. This role offers the chance to develop de-escalation skills while managing a patient caseload that includes both adolescent and adult populations. You'll be responsible for administering medications (IM and PO), supporting psychotropic treatments, and assisting with non-invasive procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and restraints when necessary. The setting is housed in the ER, with a dedicated triage area, and team support from physicians, RTs, PCTs, and other staff. If you thrive in calm, attentive environments where early intervention makes a difference, this assignment will keep you engaged every shift.
