Job Description:

This contract offers a chance to work in the Cardio Thoracic unit, where you'll be supporting patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, including MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, and those recovering from lung surgeries such as esophagectomies. Your role will involve interpreting EKGs, titrating medications like Cardizem and heparin, managing chest tubes, and handling various ventilator equipment like Cpap and Bipap. The shift is 12 hours during the night, giving you the opportunity to experience a less typical nursing schedule while providing critical care during a busy and rewarding period. You'll be part of a team that relies on your skills in basic nursing, medication management, and equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment. This assignment stands out for its focused scope on thoracic and cardiac patients and the collaborative, supportive staff environment.
