Job Description:

This assignment is ideal for an Acute Care RN experienced in Cardiovascular and surgical services, ready to tackle fast-paced situations in the PCU. You'll be monitoring patients with complex cardiac needs, including post-intervention and post-surgical cases like open heart surgery, cath lab patients, and those with acute coronary syndromes. Your responsibilities will include managing invasive monitoring equipment, administering IV cardiac medications, and supporting patients with chronic vents or chest tubes. It’s a role that keeps you engaged with a variety of procedures—no two days are alike. The hospital’s units utilize advanced systems like Philips Cardiac Monitors, Cerner EMR, Pyxis medication dispensers, and Zoll R series monitors, so familiarity with high-tech equipment is appreciated. Expect to float to ICUs and MS/Tele units when needed, performing arterial line care and sheath pulls. Bring at least one year of PCU experience, along with your BLS and ACLS certifications, and AZ RN licensure. This role offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a flexible preference for four shifts per week, providing opportunities for a balanced work-life routine.
