Job Description:

Join this 12-hour night shift position as a Medical Surgical Oncology RN, where you'll be instrumental in caring for adult to geriatric patients with complex cancer diagnoses. This assignment offers a chance to work with a focused team in a 19-bed unit that handles oncology cases from diagnosis through progression, including hematology diagnoses, oncologic emergencies, and chemotherapy precautions. The role involves managing chemo, morphine, and dilaudid drips, along with operating CADD and PCA pumps. Expect a balanced patient ratio of 1:6, with an average census of 15 patients. You'll utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems daily, and wear navy scrubs. RTO requests are flexible up to 7 days, and the schedule includes every other weekend. Floating within the facility and to nearby Piedmont Augusta Summerville can be required, but no call duties are associated with this role. Be prepared to work during major holidays if they fall within your assignment window, following a clear schedule.
