Job Description:

Join a specialized Post-Open Heart Recovery Unit as a CVICU Registered Nurse for a travel contract that immerses you in advanced cardiac care. In this role, you'll be managing patients immediately after open-heart surgeries, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, and TAVRs, with responsibilities including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, vascular access, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring like Pulmonary Artery Lines or Swan-Ganz catheters. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, allowing for a focused, calm work environment while providing the opportunity to use your clinical expertise with complex cardiac cases. This assignment is perfect for experienced CVICU nurses eager to deepen their skills in post-surgical cardiac recovery in a dedicated unit that handles a range of high-acuity procedures and devices like ECMO, IABP, and ventricular assist devices. Not only will you support patients through critical recovery phases, but you'll also have the chance to work with cutting-edge procedures and technologies, all while enjoying the satisfaction of contributing to lives in their most delicate moments.
