Job Description:

This stepdown neuro registered nurse position offers an engaging opportunity to work on a specialized unit caring for patients with neurological conditions. You'll be managing a variety of cases including strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other complex neurological diagnoses. The unit features a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, and stepdown care, with some beds equipped for long-term EEG monitoring. Expect to support multi-care level needs with up to five Med Surg patients at a time, providing detailed care and utilizing EPIC charting. Travelers should be prepared to float within scope to multiple units and even to different campus locations within the hospital system. This assignment is suited for experienced RNs with at least two years of recent hospital experience in a large, urban setting, especially those familiar with drips and neuro-specific treatments. The shift involves 12-hour days, offering a balanced schedule for day shifts that include work on weekends and two major holidays, all within a friendly but busy neuro environment.
