Job Description:

This RN position as a MedSurg float nurse offers an engaging opportunity to work across general medical and surgical units in a large hospital setting. You will assess, care for, and manage patients with diverse diagnoses including chronic illnesses like COPD, Diabetes, CHF, and renal disease, as well as acute conditions such as GI issues, infections, neurological emergencies, and mental health disorders. Procedures you'll frequently perform include wound care, IV therapy, managing infusion devices, and assisting with minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures. The role demands versatility, as you'll rotate through units based on hospital needs, providing essential nursing tasks and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Expect a balanced mix of patient assessments, care planning, and proficient use of electronic health records and clinical equipment. The position promises an active pace in a vibrant hospital environment.
