Job Description:

Join a rewarding assignment on a psychiatric unit specializing in adolescent mental health, where you'll work with patients aged 14-18 facing challenges such as suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, bipolar disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder. This role involves managing a small, focused team including RNs, mental health technicians, therapists, and case managers, with opportunities to utilize skills like de-escalation and crisis intervention. As a traveler, you’ll experience a balanced 12-hour shift schedule within a supportive environment that emphasizes safety and patient stability, with the flexibility to float within the pod to different patient populations. The unit is well-equipped with technology such as Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing, along with restraint beds, chairs, and seclusion rooms to ensure safety. This assignment offers a unique chance to develop specialized skills in behavioral health crisis management while working in a collaborative team that puts safety and patient well-being first.
