Job Description:

Join this Med-Surg unit in Durham for an engaging travel opportunity caring for surgical patients including orthopedics, general, spinal, and gender reassignment cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, providing essential nursing support in a team-oriented environment that values your experience with tele monitoring, strip reading, and ventilator management (BiPap and Cpap). With a focus on quality patient care, you'll be part of a team that handles less critical cases, freeing you to hone your skills and experience a variety of surgical diagnoses. The role includes a 36-hour weekly commitment over a 13-week duration, with some occasional weekend and holiday coverage, but no floating or call responsibilities. Expect to wear black scrubs and benefit from a comprehensive orientation over 2-3 shifts that prepares you for this specialized setting.
