Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a dedicated intermediate care unit (IMCU) that functions as a critical care step-down area within a large, tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY. This role involves providing specialized adult patient care requiring close monitoring with continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry. You will manage patients needing airway support, arterial and central lines, and titrated IV infusions. The position features 12-hour night shifts, offering a dynamic environment where you'll interpret dysrhythmias, respond to rapid response and code situations, and perform IV therapy and phlebotomy. Recent Epic experience and BLS/NIHSS certifications are essential. If you're able to handle a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on MedSurg, this assignment provides a rewarding challenge amid a team that values vigilance, adaptability, and compassionate, evidence-based care.
