Job Description:

Join us at Spring Harbor Hospital for a 13-week assignment as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in the Adult Psychiatric ICU. You’ll be supporting a specialized team working with patients experiencing thought disordered, psychotic, personality, and manic episodes. The shift runs overnight from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, giving you a chance to experience a unique nocturnal routine while making a real impact. Expect to manage a small unit with six beds and patient ratios of 3:5, utilizing your de-escalation skills and mental health expertise. This role offers a chance to dive into acute mental health environments, requiring calm professionalism and the ability to stay composed under pressure. The assignment boasts a guaranteed 36 hours weekly, with weekend hours included, and provides a favorable opportunity for those with at least two years of experience in adult mental health settings. Dress is business casual, with a focus on maintaining a professional appearance. Your contribution will help stabilize and provide compassionate care to patients navigating complex mental health challenges in a supportive hospital setting.
