Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in an Emergency Room Holding Unit, where you'll be part of a team handling an array of critical cases including cardiac, neuro, and orthopedic patients. Your role involves responding to requests for ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs, with Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 for advanced support like vents and BiPaps. You'll read and document your own telemetry strips using SpaceLabs monitors, ensuring accurate charting. The setting involves X-ray and CT imaging handled by dedicated techs, so your focus stays on supporting patient stabilization and monitoring. Previous experience in PCU or ICU combined with recent ER work is required, along with successful completion of a prior travel assignment. This is a fast-paced environment that offers a chance to sharpen your skills amidst a supportive team, all while experiencing the intensity and reward of emergency care.
