Job Description:

This traveling RN position in a medical-surgical unit involves providing care for a diverse patient population with various diagnoses, including chronic conditions like COPD, Diabetes, CHF, and end-stage renal disease. You'll manage gastrointestinal issues such as pancreatitis, bleeding, and inflammatory bowel diseases, as well as infections like pneumonia and sepsis. Neurological cases including stroke and traumatic brain injuries, along with mental health disorders, are also part of the caseload. Expect to perform assessments, develop care plans, facilitate inter-professional communication, and utilize equipment like IV pumps, wound vacs, and telemetry monitors. The role includes procedures like colonoscopies, thoracentesis, and minor surgeries. This assignment offers a balanced mix of medical-surgical nursing tasks, with opportunities to use your skills in a fast-paced hospital environment. As a float, you'll support other medical units as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient care across departments.
