Job Description:

This close-knit PCU Registered Nurse role offers a chance to work Friday through Sunday, providing essential care to adult and geriatric patients admitted through various pathways such as clinics, physicians' offices, or emergency rooms. Your focus will be on monitoring intermediate-level patients with conditions like dysrhythmias, CHF, stroke symptoms, or acute coronary syndromes, all within a fast-paced environment emphasizing patient throughput and teamwork. All patients are on telemetry, and you'll self-monitor, enabling a concentration on precise interventions. Expect a collaborative team setting, and prepare to handle 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Your expertise in BLS and ACLS is vital, and involvement in proactive, patient-centered care makes this role both challenging and rewarding. The environment calls for adaptability as floating within the facility may be necessary, and the unit utilizes Epic and Pyxis systems.
