Job Description:

This contract opportunity places you in a 14-bed Acute Care MedSurg setting, working 12-hour night shifts. You'll be responsible for managing admission hold patients, overflow cases with medical observation status, and discharge pending patients, including those awaiting transport, dialysis, or DME. Your tasks will focus on medication administration (IV and PO), blood sugar checks, oxygen therapy, and basic patient care activities like nourishment and toileting assistance. Experience with cardiac skills and basic Med Surg skills are essential. This role requires adherence to a strict 75-mile radius rule, ensuring you stay within the designated area. The unit operates with a charge nurse who may take on patient assignments and includes nurse aids and monitor tech support, though RNs primarily troubleshoot equipment and monitor patient status.
