Job Description:

Join a busy Medical-Surgical unit as a registered nurse specializing in Urology and Nephrology. This 13-week travel assignment offers 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, giving you plenty of daylight hours to explore or unwind. You’ll be working with an average daily census of 23 patients on a 25-bed unit, providing direct care for patients with renal and urinary issues, including post-hemodialysis management and renal failure cases. The role involves managing IV therapies, blood products, central lines, and monitoring cardiac rhythms using telemetry technology. You're encouraged to give the Rapid Response Teams a thumbs up when needed, and your experience with procedures like chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and oxygen management will be essential. Float within the scope of medical-surgical units is expected, and Cerner charting is a key part of your daily routine. This position requires at least two years of solid RN experience in med-surg settings, along with active Illinois licensure and BLS certification.
