Job Description:

Join our team as a step-down registered nurse at a hospital in Hazard, KY, where you'll be working on the 3 South Stepdown unit. This role involves caring for patients with a variety of conditions, providing critical monitoring and support during their recovery. Your shift will be a 12-hour rotating night schedule (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. This assignment offers the unique experience of working in a fast-paced, acute care environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1-4/5. You'll need at least two years of recent PCU or step-down experience, along with current KY or compact licensure, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, and NIH. Float responsibilities are within your scope of practice, and scheduled orientation sessions occur bi-weekly. Please note the facility's schedule usually involves 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, depending on census and staffing needs.
