Job Description:

Join our surgical team as a Certified Vascular and Operating Room (CVOR) Certified Surgical First Assistant. This contract role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting during complex heart and vascular procedures. Your day will include supporting surgeons, preparing surgical sites, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring smooth operations during critical cases. You'll experience the rhythm of early start times, with some days beginning before the main OR cases, especially when heart procedures are on the schedule. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who enjoys a structured daytime schedule, a steady 40-hour week, and the thrill of assisting in vital surgeries. The assignment features every third weekend on-call duties, adding an extra layer of engagement and opportunity to broaden your surgical skills in a supportive setting.

Job Specifics:

Location: New Bern, North Carolina

Shift: 8-hour days, Monday to Friday (either 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM for heart cases)

Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with every third weekend on call
