Job Description:

Join our team as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse in a short-term acute care setting focused on adult psychiatric and geriatric populations. During this contract, you'll work on a 12-hour night shift schedule, providing care on locked units and medical/psych units. Your responsibilities will include medication administration via various routes, starting and maintaining IVs, blood glucose monitoring, Foley catheter management, and assisting with pre-op preparations for ECT. The role offers opportunities to float within scope across behavioral health units to meet facility needs, all while working with patients diagnosed with conditions like dementia, depression, bipolar disorder, and Parkinson's Disease. Additional Details:

This assignment is not open to first-time travelers or those seeking long-term positions. Candidates must be within a 75-mile radius of the hospital and hold pending license approval. Shifts are guaranteed for 3 sessions every 13 weeks, with no RTO restrictions beyond seven days. Certifications required include BLS and CPI. Experience with Epic charting and managing adult psychiatric and geriatric patients with co-morbid medical conditions is essential. Willingness to work as charge nurse and float within scope is expected.
