Job Description:

Join our team as a MedSurg RN on a 13-week contract in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves providing comprehensive medical and surgical nursing care across general units, supporting a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from chronic illnesses like COPD, Diabetes, and CHF to infections such as pneumonia and sepsis. You'll be engaging in assessments, care planning, and procedures including minor surgeries, colonoscopies, thoracentesis, and more—all while utilizing equipment like telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and wound vacs. The facility's vibrant environment offers opportunities to work with a variety of cases, ensuring each shift brings new challenges and learning opportunities. Float support to other medical units is required, with a patient ratio of 1:5-6. This assignment offers a balanced schedule of 12-hour days, three weekends per four-week cycle, and a welcoming team suited for experienced MedSurg nurses who thrive in fast-paced settings.
