Job Description:

Join a dedicated team as a Medical Ortho MS RN on a 13-week night shift contract at a vibrant hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, generally from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, with a focus on caring for a mix of medical and surgical patients, including post-surgical recovery, trauma care, and general medical conditions such as CHF, COPD, and infections. You'll be expected to manage IV fluids, antibiotics, and wound care, including wound vacs, while utilizing your recent Epic charting skills. The unit offers a supportive environment with new leadership and experienced charge nurses, making it an ideal setting for resilient RNs who thrive in team-oriented, fast-paced situations. During this assignment, you will be cross-trained to float within skillsets between Deaconess Gateway and Henderson campuses, adding variety to your experience. This role provides a chance to refine your medical and surgical assessment skills in a teaching hospital setting without the heavy cardiac load—perfect for a nurse looking to challenge themselves and grow professionally.
