Job Description:
Join a renowned medical-surgical unit as a Registered Nurse specializing in post-operative care for colorectal surgery patients. This assignment offers an engaging opportunity to work in a hospital setting that also operates as a teaching facility, giving travelers the chance to precept students and shadow healthcare trainees. You'll be responsible for providing high-quality care in a 12-hour day shift, with a focus on patient safety, surgical recovery, and managing patients in negative-airflow rooms requiring N95 fit-testing or PAPR training. The role includes charge nurse responsibilities and potential float to other care levels such as PCU or ICU, with resources provided to support diverse care needs.

Weekly Hours: 36.0 hours
Compensation: Estimated gross weekly pay of $1,637.82, with a $3.00/hour charge pay bump for charge nurse responsibilities. First-time travelers are accepted. Please note that effective November 30th, Indiana-based RNs will not be permitted at IU Health facilities, with some exceptions. This assignment involves floating to different care levels and working every other weekend as per contract.
