Job Description:

This ICU Registered Nurse position involves working in a mixed-unit ICU setting with a variety of complex medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. The role requires managing high-acuity cases such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and post-surgical patients. The RN will be responsible for ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, proning, and IV medication administration like vasopressors and sedatives. The assignment offers a chance to experience a collaborative team environment with dedicated ICU and ED float capabilities. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts on a 15-week contract, with patients assigned based on acuity, often at ratios of 1:1 to 1:3. This role is ideal for experienced ICU RNs comfortable handling critically ill patients in a fast-paced atmosphere, with opportunities to further develop skills in Impella, IABP, and CRRT. The unit is supported by a team of CNAs, RTs available 24/7, and intensivists throughout the shift. Traveling nurses must have a minimum of two years ICU experience (excluding travel), hold active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications, and be comfortable with Epic charting. Set in a dynamic ICU environment, this role promises an engaging experience managing complex cases alongside a strong team.
