Job Description:

This 12-hour night shift ICU contract positions you at a bustling hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, working within a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit on the third floor of the A tower. The role involves managing critically ill patients who require ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside procedures such as intubations and chest tube insertions. With no assigned on-call responsibilities but floating required, you will coordinate with a skilled team composed of charge nurses and staff RNs, all while utilizing advanced equipment like ventilators, TTM, and IV pumps. Your expertise in critical care pharmacology, central line management, and a calm, flexible approach will be key to succeeding in this fast-paced environment. This assignment offers a chance to showcase your critical thinking and technical skills in a supportive setting that emphasizes patient safety and teamwork.
