Job Description:

This pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) contract offers a chance to work with a diverse range of critically ill children, from respiratory support such as ventilators and trachs to managing complex neuro conditions like EVDs and seizures. As a registered nurse in this setting, you'll be responsible for bedside care, including starting IVs, wound care, vent/trach management, and administering critical drips. The 12-hour night shifts provide a focused, quiet environment where experienced nurses often work independently, especially during periods of low census. This assignment is perfect for seasoned PICU nurses eager to experience a vibrant community known for outdoor adventures and friendly locals. Be prepared for a mix of direct patient care and occasional floating to NICU or postpartum units, caring for stable mothers and babies or lower-acuity pediatric patients. Your expertise will help support one of Montana’s only pediatric neurosurgical teams in a facility equipped with Meditech EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and other advanced technology.
