Job Description:

Join a cardiac stepdown unit in Albany, GA, for a 17-week assignment working 12-hour night shifts. This role is perfect for experienced cardiovascular nurses eager to advance their skills in a fast-paced environment that handles complex cardiac cases, including post-surgical recovery, CHF, arrhythmias, and pacemaker management. You’ll be reading cardiac strips, administering drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, and floating to ICU as needed—only handling stepdown-level patients unless ICU experience is specified. The unit maintains a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio across 44 beds, with a focus on efficient discharges and admissions. Staff are expected to be flexible with holidays and floating, and adhere to specific dress code requirements.
