Job Description:

Join this busy emergency department in Artesia, NM, for a 13-week travel assignment where you'll experience a variety of cases ranging from minor injuries to critical traumas, STEMIs, and strokes. This role requires a seasoned ED RN comfortable with mixing and titrating critical drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Epi, and Insulin, all while maintaining critical thinking and independence. The hospital is a community facility working toward Level IV trauma designation, with a capacity of 5 beds and 2 trauma bays. Your shift will be 12-hour days during peak hours, offering an excellent opportunity to hone your skills amidst high-acuity cases in a setting that values quick acuity assessment and decisive action. You will assist with triage, vital signs, ADLs, I/Os, and manage respiratory equipment, EKGs, and tele strips. The hospital’s environment emphasizes teamwork, with security in-house 24/7 and a dedicated ED physician and ED RN charge nurses to support flow and patient safety. This assignment is perfect for an experienced nurse looking to make an impact in a dynamic ER environment while enjoying the unique landscape of the region.
