Job Description:

This registered nurse position in medical-surgical and telemetry units offers a chance to work during night shifts, providing crucial care for patients with respiratory, renal, diabetic, infectious, cardiac, and blood-related diagnoses. The role involves managing a patient ratio of 1:4 during days and weekends, and 1:5 at night, with assignments spanning 13 weeks. Night shifts are 4 days a week, 12 hours each, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Nurses have the flexibility of choosing 36 or 48-hour workweeks and can request time off with approval. Responsibilities include following UVA’s float policy, maintaining BLS certification, and utilizing Epic electronic health records. This assignment provides an engaging environment where you’ll implement your skills in a setting that emphasizes team collaboration and patient-focused care, all while experiencing the historic charm of Charlottesville.
