Job Description:

This speech therapy contract position offers the chance to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings within the community of Oxnard, California. As a Speech Therapist, you'll be involved in evaluating and treating a diverse patient population, including those with neurological conditions like stroke and brain injuries, as well as orthopedic and pediatric patients. You’ll have the opportunity to perform swallow studies and contribute to both acute care and outpatient rehabilitation, with a scheduling rhythm of 8-hour shifts from 8am to 4:30pm. The role involves working weekends—either Saturday or Sunday—and participating in holiday rotations, providing a well-rounded clinical experience with a supportive team. The setting features a mix of general inpatient units, outpatient clinics just minutes from the hospital, and specialized rehab and sub-acute units, making this a multifaceted and engaging assignment.
