Job Description:

Join our team for a rewarding role assisting in the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments across various hospital units including the operating room, emergency room, and delivery room. This position involves cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical supplies to ensure everything is ready for the surgical team. You'll coordinate closely with surgical staff to prepare case carts specific to each procedure, matching surgeon preferences and ensuring timely availability of supplies and instruments. The role demands attention to detail in monitoring sterilization processes such as steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants, all while maintaining compliance standards. Working the afternoon shift from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., this 13-week assignment offers a hands-on experience in a busy hospital environment where your organizational skills keep the surgical team fully equipped and prepared. No two days are alike in this critical support role for surgical success.
