Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers the opportunity to work in a bustling outpatient infusion center dedicated to adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, and medical diagnoses requiring outpatient infusion services. You will be primarily responsible for administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other infusions, all while managing a busy schedule that typically involves seeing 60 to 110 patients daily. The role involves covering 10-hour shifts, four days a week, with a third Saturday every few weeks. The infusion room is attached to the hematology/oncology clinic, offering a unique clinical setting that combines specialized procedures with a collaborative team environment. Prior travel experience and at least two years of chemo administration are preferred, and proficiency with Epic is required. You will support the team by managing 2-3 infusion chairs per shift, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of care in a fast-paced environment. This assignment includes a one-week orientation at the start, with required certifications such as BLS and an ONS chemo provider card. The infusion center offers a unique experience through direct involvement in chemotherapy protocols and IV access procedures, making it an engaging choice for experienced infusion nurses seeking a rewarding short-term assignment.
