Job Description:

Join an esteemed hospital as a Stepdown Neuro Registered Nurse, working a 12-hour night shift. This assignment offers the opportunity to care for a diverse mix of neurological and neurosurgical patients on a multi-care level unit. You will be responsible for managing up to six Med Surg patients, including those with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, tumors, and other neurological conditions. The unit is equipped with eight beds for long-term EEG monitoring. As a traveler, you will float frequently within the scope of your practice to various units, such as 4CS, 5 West, and 6 Neuro, among others, to meet staffing needs. This position requires EPIC charting experience and at least two years of recent experience in a large, urban hospital. The role includes administering drips across all floors and working in a facility that is 100% nicotine-free. Be prepared for a fast-paced environment with a focus on neurological specialties and a team-oriented approach, including care techs, transport staff, swoop/paramedics, and occasional LPN coverage.
