Job Description:

Join a dedicated team of Labor & Delivery nurses in Whitefish, Montana, for an engaging 13-week travel contract. This role involves caring for low to moderate acuity obstetric patients, managing labor, assisting with c-sections, and supporting neonatal assessments from triage through discharge. Expect to perform responsibilities such as fetal monitoring, administering drips like magnesium and Pitocin, starting IVs on neonates, and assisting with neonatal testing procedures. The environment offers a mix of routine deliveries and urgent situations, with an emphasis on supporting the rooming-in model where babies are rarely separated from their mothers. Experience with Level II Nursery procedures, including IV antibiotics and heel sticks, is preferred. Prepare to be a versatile team player, working the 12-hour night shift, offering critical support during these specialized hours in a facility with a warm community atmosphere. This assignment promises a rewarding experience for those comfortable managing all aspects of labor and delivery, including assisting with neonatal transfers to larger facilities when necessary.
