Job Description:

This travel RN position places you in a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Washington, DC, where you'll be part of a team caring for patients receiving specialized treatments such as chemotherapy and telemetry monitoring. The role involves rotating day and night shifts, with roughly every other weekend on duty, providing a rhythm that keeps the job interesting without overloading your schedule. You'll administer chemo, initiate IVs, and work within a team that values flexibility; floating within units of similar or lower acuity is part of the day's work. This assignment is perfect if you have a solid background in oncology, hematology, or med-surg, along with at least two years of experience and a previous travel or per diem assignment. Your skills will shine as you effectively manage complex cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adapting to the fast-paced environment. The facility emphasizes teamwork and scheduling preferences, giving you some input in shaping your shifts as the contract progresses.
