Job Description:

Join a fast-paced MRI setting in Boston, where you'll be crucial in preparing and positioning patients for scans involving various body parts. You'll set up coils, monitoring devices, and ensure patients are correctly aligned for optimal imaging. Your expertise will help identify any ferrous metal implants or objects that could affect imaging quality. Selecting appropriate pulse sequences and recording all procedures will be part of your daily routine, alongside evaluating image quality and rectifying issues to ensure diagnostic accuracy. You'll operate PACS systems to send and evaluate images promptly, and you'll be instrumental in maintaining thorough records. The role also involves communicating effectively with patients—explaining procedures clearly, managing delays professionally, and monitoring their physical and psychological well-being. Additionally, you'll assist with IV contrast lines when necessary, watching for reactions, and report any concerns immediately. Contributing to teaching programs and ongoing educational activities ensures continuous professional growth. This assignment offers the chance to work independently in a bustling environment that values technical precision and patient interaction. Be prepared to showcase your ARRT certification and at least two years of related experience in MRI technology.
