Job Description:

Join a travel physical therapy contract supporting an acute-care inpatient unit in Bryan, Texas. In this role, you’ll primarily complete evaluations on-site, with the expectation to complete about one evaluation per hour. When daily treatment sessions are assigned, you’ll help deliver approximately 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift. You’ll work with a team that may include PTAs and therapy techs/assistants, and you should be comfortable providing consistent, thorough therapy documentation using MeditechRehab EMR.

Case types are varied across a Level III trauma center setting, including telemetry, orthopedics, post-surgical care, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medicine—mostly adults and older teens. The assignment includes inpatient-focused orientation, typically 3–5 days, covering the hospital environment, EMR, and local procedures/protocols.

Weekend coverage is required: plan for two full weekends per month, with compensatory time during the week, with the possibility of up to three weekends in a five-week month. Holidays are shared through an alternating schedule. Call is not required.

Expect warm, often sunny days with periodic rain and humidity typical of central Texas. Evenings can cool off comfortably, making outdoor plans enjoyable when the weather cooperates.
