Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel contract as a CVICU nurse for a Level I trauma hospital setting in Oklahoma City. In this role, you’ll provide direct bedside nursing care for patients ranging from straightforward cases to complex situations, under general supervision. You’ll assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, deliver care competently, and work closely with the care team to help patients through every stage of their hospital stay. Your days will include documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments, updating clinicians on any changes in physician orders for your assigned patients, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, and stepping in when clinical manifestations require timely action. You’ll also administer medications as prescribed, initiate and regulate IV infusions and blood products, and assist physicians during examinations and select minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Collaboration matters—your work will include partnering with patients and families to share the care plan during the hospital stay and at discharge, while making appropriate referrals and delegating tasks to support staff when needed. This assignment is especially well-suited to travelers who bring CVICU experience in a Level I trauma environment and enjoy the pace and responsibility that comes with it.
