Job Description:

Join our team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment located in Springfield, Illinois. This role offers 10-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 17:15, working four days per week. You'll be supporting a Level I trauma center, working across all service lines except cardiovascular, with a focus on general, trauma, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, and urology cases. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of OR experience, holds BLS certification, and preferably has CNOR and Cerner experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with surgeries like appendectomies, cholecystectomies, laparoscopic procedures, neuro, orthopedic, plastic, and transplant cases, with an emphasis on laparoscopic-assisted surgeries and trauma scenarios. The role also involves responding to emergencies, managing instrumentation, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This assignment is unique in its scope of diverse case types and the opportunity to work in a top-level trauma center without the complication of on-call duties exceeding once a week. Remember, you must live at least 50 miles from the facility and hold or be in process of obtaining an Illinois license.
