Job Description:

Join a reputable healthcare facility in Denton, TX, for a 13-week travel contract as a Night Shift Medical Surgical Nurse. You will work 12-hour overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, providing care on a 41-bed unit with a patient load of approximately 135 patients daily. The unit often handles stroke, ACS, diabetic, and AKD cases, with a focus on maintaining a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Experience in trauma, stroke, or chest pain center environments will help you thrive in this setting. The role offers an active schedule, with 36 hours per week, and demands a dynamic, hands-on approach to patient management. Weekend shifts are required within a 6-week rotation, and additional certifications such as TNCC, BLS, ALS, PALS, or ENPC are expected. CPI certification is needed upon extension. Travel nurses who enjoy fast-paced, impactful work will find this assignment both challenging and rewarding.
