Job Description:

This RRT-NICU Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics role offers a unique opportunity to work primarily with adult patients in an acute care teaching hospital, with occasional shifts in the NICU. You'll perform comprehensive respiratory therapy procedures including patient assessment, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, ABG analysis, and airway management – all while navigating a setting equipped with advanced ventilator technologies like bCPAP, HFNC, and mechanical vents for infants over 30 weeks gestational age. The position involves night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, requiring 36 hours weekly over a 13-week contract. Enjoy a balanced schedule with every other weekend at most, and the flexibility to work across Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity campuses as needed. Your expertise will support critically ill patients, contributing to care plans that involve complex oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and patient education. The role is tailored for respiratory therapists with 2-3 years of experience, who are comfortable working within a vibrant teaching hospital environment offering a variety of clinical challenges and the chance to make a real difference in patient outcomes.
