Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel contract as a Med/Surg/Tele Registered Nurse in Lafayette, LA, working 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. This role involves managing patients with diverse diagnoses such as chest pain, coronary artery disease, diabetes, COPD exacerbations, COVID-19, strokes, arrhythmias, and wound infections, among others. You will perform a variety of procedures including angiograms, wound debridement, chest tube insertions, and central line placements, all while utilizing telemetry monitoring and specialized equipment like wound vacs and chest tubes. As part of your responsibilities, you may be assigned to emergency teams during critical events, requiring flexibility and readiness to report as directed. This assignment offers an engaging opportunity to demonstrate your proficiency in cardiac rhythm management and acute care, all within a supportive hospital environment. The typical weekly commitment is 36 hours, allowing for a focused yet manageable workload.
